The issue and point of the article is not that the judge set a date for a hearing. The issue is that she set a date that Trump’s main attorneys can’t attend, even though both the prosecution and the defense agreed to several other dates where they could all be in attendance. She is the only one insisting that the hearing on a critical issue take place on a date when she knows Trump’s attorneys can’t be there.
I don’t believe Trump’s lawyers indicated they could not both attend on Friday...or if they did, I have not seen or read why.
RE: protective orders...these are standard orders about “evidence” etc the prosecution turns over to defense. Trump has not yet been given a “gag” order by the judge.
But imo, Trump should be more cautious threatening judge/prosecutors/known witnesses or he could get an actual gag order. But maybe that’s the button Trump wants to push.
