BREAKING: Donald Trump vows to prosecute Biden if elected in 2024.
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
It’s better for Trump if he doesn’t remind his supporters that he wasmotivating crowds and ultimately elected in 2016 in part with the promise of prosecuting his general election opponent for rampant corruption.
I’m not saying that because his general election opponent didn’t or doesn’t deserve prosecution, I’m saying it because he had the opportunity to do it in 2016, and he never did.
“He promised to put Hillary in jail, and that didn’t work out.”
You confuse Trump’s grace when coming into the presidency with weakness.
When Trump enters the office after his third victory, they will rue the day they ever persecuted this man. The treachery goes all the way to Obama, who knew and was involved with every aspect of planning and execution.
Tell me about it. His own AG Fatboy Barr has been going around blasting the hell out of Trump every chance he gets.
Of course; EVERYBODY remembers that line from the debate; it’s one of the most often played clips of the campaign. He didn’t say he would put her in jail in the future.
You probably think that Sarah Palin said you can see Russia from her porch, too.
I think President Trump should point out that such a special prosecutor investigation won’t be one of these multi-year affairs that drag on and on. Most of the evidence they would need to indict has already been or is in the process of being uncovered by Congress and others, including the Durham report.
When people hear talk of appointing a special prosecutor, their reaction is, increasingly, “Oh great. Another investigation that ends up leading nowhere.” I think it would be worth Trummp’s time to address this concern and make clear that there won’t be any more of the foot dragging we’ve seen in previous “investigations”.
Big picture subject is telling folks your future plans. No deception. That’s all.
Yes, I think that’s ultimately where this is headed. I’m not an expert on it, but I think the DOJ can probably refer cases to be tried in a military court if the crimes rise to the level of treason and/or sedition. If the indictments involve collaboration with a foreign enemy, I believe a military trial would be the appropriate venue.
I’m not saying that because his general election opponent didn’t or doesn’t deserve prosecution, I’m saying it because he had the opportunity to do it in 2016, and he never did."
If she was in prison, her humiliation (and Bubba's!) would have never been so profound. They cancelled their speaking tour, her book tour, Chelsea's Senate aspirations, only Rachel Madcow invites her to the rare, one-off #MSM presence, her defeat poisoned the brand, the name of "Clinton".
We will get to the exact same place with the name "Biden", and the name "Obama". It took over 150 years for a flash mob of boohoos to pull down a couple Confederate statues.
Every Obama statue will be pulled down in your lifetime. That's just the nature of marxism and failed color revolutions.
Shredding machines at the WH, Langley, Foggy Bottom are going to be working overtime. Why announce intentions.
It might work better to not tell the enemy your plans. That’s how war works, and we are at war.
It’s “Lock her up” redux.
It’s BS.
Since I've already said I'd crawl over Hunter Biden's broken crack pipes to vote for Legit President Trump, I'm not exactly sure how to ramp up my rhetoric re: the hazards I'll overcome to vote for him.
Perhaps stepping on the back balcony and letting a shotgun blast loose?
He has to praise Lindsay, Graham is on Trump’s SC campaign leadership team.
The Donald still has that magic staffing touch.
It might well be BS on purpose. A feint to scare the snakes and scorpions into doing something rash that will undo them and the swamp.
Apparently nobody.
lock him up!!
yeah...Lucy/football. . .
No, it’s that Trump doesn’t understand the concept of “speak softly and carry a big stick....”. He’s a shoot your mouth off and carry never mind the stick” kind of guy. He and his worshippers think his rhetoric has the power of creation and whatever he bloviates will become reality.
carry never mind the stick= never mind the stick
If true that’s an unwise thing to say while he’s not President. If he’s President in 19 months *then* he can say it...or his AG can.
The Attorney General authority is delegated from the President so yes, a President can prosecute someone.
