No.

Because they will be manufactured by China, China, and Mexico.

A gay Sustainability commissar for Boston. No great surprise here. Get paid big bucks, for doing nothing useful in the real world.

This is pure unadulterated insanity.

Indeed.

I'm sure the Mayor is "book smart".

But yeah, she's dumb.

...but engineers have already figured this out, and large buildings have a combination of heating sources which make the best use of resources.

True that. And we can do things like that with homes as well. Where I live, heating the home isn't as much of an issue as cooling it is. So I use a hybrid water heater to help cool the home (the water heater is in a closet in the living quarters, the air output of the water heater is just above an air receiver for the central HVAC, which is almost always running constantly on low speed because I have a variable speed heat pump with variables speed air handler). The end result is I'm using the water heater's byproduct of free cold air to help cool the home during the hours the water heater runs every day. (In the winter I duct the cold air up into the attic while I'm trying to keep the house warm.)

I also use the free warm air of the attic to help the water heater (the water heater's incoming outlet is ducting air from the attic above it) to keep my water heater from having to work as hard to find heat in the air it draws in.

But I'll confess to not researching that and other things I can do to conserve energy while living in the same comfort as before until I went solar and tried to make myself as energy independent as feasibly possible. (Which means not just taking in power but also reducing waste of energy.)

So I still fuss at the Democrats' stupid war on energy. But I suggest everybody look for things he can do to make himself less dependent on energy they over-regulate and make too expensive (which is all energy except what you make yourself).

To combat racism, Boston will freeze in the dark.

It will then be ironic when the city burns to the ground next winter.

I know. My dad worked for a power company in Florida. I have heard all of his stories.

They also won’t turn off your power if it’s too hot, too cold, or you threaten to kill yourself...

“recent weather means that there isn’t much time to make quick political changes.”

Bwahahahahahahahaha.

Boston is going to sink beneath the sea—any day now. There is no point wasting money on new city buildings!

There will be less reason now to renovate old buildings, so they will continue to deteriorate and eventually be abandoned. Tearing down the old buildings and replacing them with new ones will create a huge carbon footprint, even if the newer buildings might be somewhat more efficient.

AKA Communism.

Fair enough. No electricity generated by coal, gasoline, diesel, natural gas, Bunker Charlie or any other other fossil fuel, including municipal waste containing plastics.

One of my favorite rant topics is “historical” buildings.

As you know there are thousands and thousands of them at this point. In the older cities it is hard to develop anything without bumping into some of the them.

My rant—how long do countries/civilizations last?

Most are gone within a few hundred years—almost all within a thousand years.

So—the “history” is pretending that the inevitable will not happen. Nothing lasts.

It is humans lying to each other about the human condition.

I would be able to safely do that, but a low-income housing tenant?

Absolutely safe.

When the low income tenants burn down their tenement, the neighborhood crime rate drops...

Mayor Wu could achieve a bigger slice of racial just by banning Harvard U.

Here is this Asian mayor staring racism in the face over at Cambridge, and she decides that fossil fuels are somehow worse than the college? She has truly drunk the Kool-Aid.

True.

Aren’t there at least some voters who can be reached with ads saying the Dems are trying to raise your prices and take away you air conditioning?

And all the regulations for bogus climate requirements.
Maybe one like Ronald Reagan with a huge pile of binder papers to comply with starting a business compare to the little 2 pages to sign to get welfare money.
