I heard one report late yesterday that he and his family have received several death threats. Also that he owns two homes, but the family has been living away from both of them because of the threats. It was implied that this was also the reason he wouldn't testify in public. But who knows for sure?
At an impeachment inquiry, they will have him public and under oath.
