For sure. Trump has proven to be quite the easy mark for them the last few years, allowing them to land blow after blow on us at the same time. Not only does he never actually fight back against the Democrats, he chooses to instead use all his time and energy to insult/belittle/demean Republicans. He's been about as effective as having Mitt Romney leading the Party, when you really look at it.
The one thing Trump can do better than any politician I’ve seen with the possible exception of Bill Clinton is sell himself, to the point that no matter what he says and does there is a sizeable core group of people that will continue to support him.
