For energy saving reasons I spent that last number of years replacing every lightbulb, as needed, with LED bulbs. The expenses were worth it in energy savings. My house is rated every mongh by the utility company and it always ranks not just above average (lower electric usaage) but better than the “most efficient”; and I have some bulns, like porch lights, on 24/7 and some on all nite on timers. It also did not hurt that the refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine were also replaced within the last ten years.
Electric hot water heaters also eat energy.

LEDs are now available with their own dusk to dawn light sensors.
