Even if others consent on the minor’s behalf, make it so that this does not sign away liability in the event that the minor changes his or her mind in the next 40 years.

Actually it is settled. There is no benefit only loss. Increased suicides, loss of function, pain, osteoporosis and complications of surgery. No competent or licenced practitioners should perform such surgeries or even the hormonal castrations except possibly in the rare situations where people are born with hermaphrodism.
