When I was a kid, we drove through Death Valley on a family vacation, and it was 116. The AC in our car was on the fritz, too. That was in June or July of 1970.
It is 119 in Death Valley today compared to your 116 as a kid. Don’t know how much more proof you need of global warming. Notice how all of the folks talking about the hot summers they lived through don’t go back past about 1950?
We never had hot summers before then!
