Rudy Giuliani admits to making ‘false’ statements about Georgia election workers
New York Post ^ | July 26, 2023 | Nicholas McEntyre

Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani has admitted that he made “false” statements about two Georgia election officials he accused of rigging the 2020 election.

In an overnight court filing signed by Guiliani, Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer conceded that he does not contest the allegations made in a defamation suit brought by Peach State elections workers Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea “Shay” Moss.

“The Defendant Giuliani, for the purposes of this litigation only, does not contest that … such actionable factual statements are false,” the filing, shared by Politico reporter Kyle Cheney, reads.

However, Guiliani, 79, insisted that his statements “did not carry meaning that is defamatory, per se” and that they are “constitutionally protected statements or opinions.”

The two election workers filed a defamation suit against Giuliani, once “America’s mayor,” and conservative news network One America News Network (OAN) in December 2021, accusing them of spreading false claims they had committed election fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

A heavily edited clip of security footage was widely circulated online and by Trump allies at the time as supposed proof of fraud.

Guiliani accused the mother-daughter duo of passing USB drives “like vials of heroin or cocaine” while they were counting ballots.

Moss later revealed to the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riot that her mother handed her a ginger mint.

Georgia’s State Election Board dismissed its yearslong investigation into alleged election fraud in June and officially cleared Freeman and Moss.

The fraud claims were “unsubstantiated and found to have no merit,” the investigation concluded, NBC reported.

Yes, she should have released her KRAKEN on that for sure.

I believe machines were also programmed to switch votes.

That big vote machine company sued Fox News and some individuals, maybe Powell Lindell and Rudy

And they won big time!

Fox payed out millions and that may be part of why Tucker was fired.

You’re right and I think she was also live streaming herself sitting at a computer curing ballots and laughing saying something like we are going to get him or something. The whole thing was dropped.

“Giuliani didn’t admit to lying. He merely admitted to defaming the election workers sorting the ballots.”

defamation: “Any intentional false communication, either written or spoken, that harms a person’s reputation; decreases the respect, regard, or confidence in which a person is held; or induces disparaging, hostile, or disagreeable opinions or feelings against a person.”

Since when is “intentional false communication” not a lie?

Should anyone be interested, Rudy’s court filing is here:

https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.238720/gov.uscourts.dcd.238720.84.2.pdf

It’s two pages long.

It looks to me as though he is arguing that—despite his statements being untrue—the statements didn’t harm anyone and are therefore NOT defamation but “protected speech.”

“Out of curiosity, has anybody explained why Fulton County election officials, restarted ballot counting after claiming the process was stopped for the evening? Or why cases of “ballots” were brought out from underneath tables to be counted after all the watchers were sent home?

Screw this crap about who said what about who. We deserve explanations and accountability for these and all the other nefarious activities that went on during the 2016, 2020 and 2022 elections.”

GA Sec of State office released this report last month (though interestingly, it’s dated March):

You're getting hung up on language in what is really both a legal and existential defense.

Rudy Truthed his belief that is now being questioned by the majority. For legal reasons, he may back off his claim but in no way does that indicate a lie or liability. We are all entitled to our own Truth outside of the gatekeepers of the MSM, Deep State, or even "reality".

Many now take seriously the possibility that we live in a simulation. Physists also posit a multiverse in which every possible choice is played out in branching versions of reality that are packed side by side into the total metaverse. Is it really so far-fetched that Rudy spoke truthfully that Ruby was curing ballots like they were lines of cocaine in his branch, and afterwards time pirates from the Deep State pulled the rug out from under him by patching him through to a different branch?

** “Yeah, there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for Ruby Freeman running the exact same stack of ballots through the machine over and over and over again.”

** “There is no reasonable explanation.”

Actually, there could be.

For instance: If a stack of 100 ballots is run through the machine and the machine indicates that 65 ballots were counted, the machine would be re-set and the same stack would be run through again.

Not long ago, I read an article which interviewed an elections supervisor from a county that PDJT won. (FWIW she claimed to be a Trump supporter.) She described the scenario I just described to you.

She talked about the people who would question her about election integrity and results, almost non-stop.

She got so many questions that she held a free informational meeting to explain how elections are run in her jurisdiction. She claims that no one showed up.

Actually, I was questioning YOUR language.

It appeared you were trying to differentiate “defamation” from a “lie.”

It would appear that the very meaning of defamation involves lying—an intentional false statement (or “communication”).

Fox exec Raj Shah email said Sydney Powell allegations of election fraud were bogus. As I wrote before, when some of the the Dominion allegations collapsed, the media claimed that every such allegation was a lie, and 2020 was as impeccable as Caesar's wife was supposed to be.

Assuming the machine was actually re-set and it was functioning correctly.

Yes, those things have to be taken into consideration.

I’m merely pointing out that according to one (Trump-supporting) elections supervisor (of a jurisdiction Trump won) that there may be a reason for a stack of ballots being run through a tabulator more than once.

I wish I had kept a link to the story. I’d gladly share it. I’ll spend a few minutes to look for it.
