I feel bad for her, but never put your safety on the line for some corporation.
13 years, zero warning, black eye, and fired.
Probably while pulling $15 an hour.
Ok. In front of every store entrance concrete filled steel tubes. Under the floors of exits/entrances, magnets that stop the wheels of carts from leaving the store. Good grief even Goodwill stores use this magnet system.
Paying customers can get help from employees getting their heavy stuff to their vehicles.
I’ve got to tell this story:
I wanted a bait bucket with an aerator, Amazon showed a three week delay so I went to Cabela’s website. The same bucket was $10 more than Amazon, but they showed it was in stock. Limited inventory though, so I ordered it online for a store pickup. Instead of picking it up the next day, I had to wait 24 hours for ‘order processing’ but I did finally pick it up. It was in a sealed shopping bag so I didn’t get a look at it until I got home.
I discovered that the battery powered pump was gone.
I take it back the next day, and discover that out of the five other units on the shelf, three were missing the same part.
Shoplifters.
What surprised me was that to steal it you had to have a phillips-head screwdriver to get it out! They came prepared. This thievery is killing retail.
This is a collapsed, failed nation.
Also becoming less habitable on a daily basis.
Fiscally and morally bankrupt. Children being brainwashed, groomed & mutilated.
It’s over, barring something unforeseen.
Clearly Lowe’s never deserved an employee as dedicated as Donna Hansbrough.
So she was fired for helping protect the corporation's property. WTG, Corporate Scum!
Why do I even bother buying anything anymore? I think I'll got to Lowe's and steal some stuff.
Oh, wait. This is Florida; I could actually go to jail. Never mind.
Let’s face it. The store had to fire her. Trying to prevent a “ Takyah “ from stealing is just plain racist.
Sad. Prayers for her.
Every major retail store employee in the USA signed a written statement expressing that fact during orientation.
Shop lifting is bad.
Multi-million dollar lawsuits and medical claims are worse.
Question:
If it’s only a crime to stop the thief, I witness such an event and I take the merchandise from the thief in the parking lot, is it finders keepers?

The owner of a Federal Way hardware store accuses a city council candidate of shoplifting and says he has video to prove it. The person accused, Denise Yun who’s running for Council Position 7. The store’s owner, Nick Rose, said he was even more incensed after learning about the candidate, and her platform. He was able to pull one of the three hammers from her purse as she dodged out of the store; leaving a cart-load of wooden stakes behind.
“She said she wants to protect the small business from vandalism and theft, and she turns around and does the same thing?” Rose said.
Denise Yun:
Lowes just lost my future business. And, yes, you don’t need to look at the thieves.
We wind up paying for what these thieves steal. This woman should get a raise—and a letter of praise!
I hope that someone who owns a store in that town calls her and offers her a job.
Lowe’s was looking for a reason to fire a 68 years old.
They figure they will save money on healthcare costs.
Screw Loews.
Don’t pursue shoplifters. Not your stuff, not your problem.
We hired a consistent annual $1,000,000 producing outside sales professional from Lowe’s who was fired for stopping a shoplifter as he was walking into a Lowe’s to conduct a training session for the millworks department. He is also an ordained minister.
You don’t want to get involved but for many of us that runs against our human nature. This is what can happen, https://www.ktvu.com/news/witnesses-say-employee-killed-in-pleasanton-home-depot-shooting-was-trying-to-stop-theft
Maybe if Lowes had PROPER security in their stores they would save millions and have enough to pay employees decent wage.
