My rather libertarian cousin actually believes that Aldean knew about the possible lynching of a man 95 years ago and filmed the video at the courthouse on purpose.
I have no idea what happened at my county courthouse 95 years ago. Heck, I don’t know what happened there 30 years ago (I lived in a different county then).
It’s a crock of BS.

There have been a number of other Country songs on this subject none of which have received this kind of backlash.
On the other hand there has been a rising number of rap and hip-hop songs condemning ghetto and political crime.

All I get from the Left's complaints of this song being racist is an admission that it's mostly Blacks doing the sucker punching, carjacking, and robbing of liquor stores.
How else can they cry racism when Blacks are not even mentioned in the song?
