A birther, flat-Earther, sovereign citizen, or a tax protester. The Ukraine threads also sport a great deal of detachment from reality. The grand daddy of foodfights is the North-South threads. Some gullible people have listened to the birther/tax/sovereign nonsense, actually acted on the insanity, and incurred very serious problems. Military folks who refused to comply with orders because they believed there was an illegal president were separated from the service, and in one case a military doctor, after separation, had his state medical board revoke his medical license. Actor Wesley Snipes went to prison for attempting one of the tax scams (861 argument). Spurious legal information, left unchallenged, may result in damaging consequences.
