"WHAT guarantee is there that your local power company can provide ALL customers with such????" Good point. And it certainly occurred to me. How can an electric utility suddenly double their ampacity to every customer?
Start at the power plant and so on down the chain. Not doable. The real environmental damage would never be offset or recouped.
