Ron DeSantis’ campaign finances have some flashing warning signs

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis tapped out top donors and burned through $7.9 million in his first six weeks as a presidential candidate, according to an NBC News analysis of his new campaign finance disclosure.

The numbers suggest, for the first time, that solvency could be a threat to DeSantis’ campaign, which has touted its fundraising ability as a key measure of viability. They reflect the broader reality that DeSantis stalled after his launch: polling ahead of the Republican primary pack but far behind former President Donald Trump.

The irony for DeSantis is that he raised a total of $20.1 million between mid-May and the end of June, easily ahead of other Republican candidates — even Trump... But more than two-thirds of DeSantis’ money — nearly $14 million — came from donors who gave the legal maximum and cannot donate again, NBC’s analysis shows. Some of those donors gave the $3,300 limit for both the primary and general election, boosting DeSantis’ totals with cash that can’t be used to try to defeat Trump.

This clown has absolutely no path to the GOP nomination.
He’s not even getting grassroots small donors.

DeSantis can’t win, but he has donors with money and a hard head.

Which means he’ll stick around until the delegate math says otherwise.

For some odd and sh*tty reason I just pulled myself out of a Twitter hole.

Holy Moly....is Twitter nothing but DeSantis supporters trying to tell the world how great he is and how much Pres Trump sucks? Is Musk so “all in” for DeSantis that it’s “All Ron All the Time”?

The guy shows up in SC(?) and talks to a roomful of people. Pres Trump shows up in a town of 3000 and he talks to over 50k. Something is missing.

And for all the DeSantis folks on here, vote for who you want for whatever reason you want. But be glad Pres Trump is still standing to take all the flak and the arrows and everything else they throw at him. Because if any of you think they won’t be doing the same exact thing to your guy, you’re living in fantasy land and I don’t think he’d be able to handle quite the same way. Just my opinion.

Reminiscent of Jeb Bush— 100 million dollars and no delegates. DeSantis has an unsustainable burn rate.

“DeSantis can’t win, but he has donors with money and a hard head.”

How much is he going to “owe” the donors?

Let’s be glad Trump picked a bunch of losers in 2022 that ended up costing us the Senate, which is now confirming communist judges like they’re coming off an assembly line. Or, as he would tell you, we should be thanking him for his key endorsements in pulling R+22 congressmen over the finish line.

I can’t tell you how excited I am to listen to 4 more years of voter fraud gripes (which logic would tell you that if he really believed cost him the election, he wouldn’t bother running again since most of this new “voting” regime is still in existence). I’m overjoyed at the prospect of living under the thumb of this drooling geriatric communist puppet and his lizard brain affirmative action sidekick while Trump gets thrown in a gulag for the rest of his life when we could have none of that with a normal rock-ribbed conservative who can actually win key states and thus the election in the WH for another 8 years.

If he wins he’ll owe them 4 years of Presidency and he’ll pay. Trump if he wins, owes the people, Bigly!

The Desantis folks keep coming to my door and I keep telling them: “Your boy has the wrong friends; he needs better ones.”..... Im not sure they understand what Im talking about. His canvassers are as unsophisticated as I have met in many moons. He could be great, but so far I’m not seeing anything great. He has no thesis in his campaign message. He’s little more than a gadfly at this point.

My guess: he owes them so much that he will have to run Third Party as the “true conservative”.

Trump received 10+ million more votes in 2020 over 2016. When was the last time a sitting President lost when receiving 17+% more votes in his reelection bid?

Trump can claim victory in 17 of the 18 bellwether counties but still “lost” according to the Dems/MSM?

When was the last time major metropolitan areas in five states stopped counting ballots and when they reopened Biden all of a sudden was in the lead?

Do you really believe that Bumbling Biden received 15 million more votes than Hillary? That is an amazing and unbelievable 23% increase in votes for Bumbling Biden than Hillary.

The election was stolen.

DeSantis like Trump will lose to the Dem/MSM election fraud machine.

If you think Trump is going to get cheated again, why do you even care if he’s the nominee?

Can you tell me what senate races were lost because of President Trump?

And, obviously, your rock ribbed conservative is DeSantis. Who, as Congressman DeSantis voted for quite a few hills that would have had a detrimental effect on the US, its trade and its sovereignty.

Let’s also not forget that your Superman is governing a state that is solidly Red. That the legislature is the one writing and passing the hills that he signs. And that all but 3 counties in the state are Republican.

So, with the deck stacked like that, it’s no wonder you think he’s a rock-ribbed conservative.

How’s he going to do against Schumer and the rest? Oh wait, he’ll spread his DeSantis dust and everyone will be falling all over themselves to do what he wants. I forgot about that.
