GOP presidential candidate and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said on Saturday that he'd consider Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds as a potential running mate if he wins the Republican nomination. She appears to have other plans.
But Reynolds demurred when asked in an interview Monday morning on Fox News if she'd accept the offer.
"I am so focused," she told Fox News' Ainsley Earhardt. "I'm busy working on being the governor of the great state of Iowa."

He just whines.
maybe Ron should wait to see if he can firmly stay in double digits in state and national polls first?
She’d be a great VP candidate, and of course she’d accept.
We'll be told it's 4D chess.
STOP THE BS CLAIMS OF LYING. Why don't you re-read Jim's notice a week ago.
I've called you out on the incessant and repeated posting of negative threads about DeSantis, trashing and insulting anyone that supports DeSantis, but being thin-skinned when people question Trump.
Read through the threads. The only people insulting people on FR are like you supporting Trump. You don't see supportings of other candidates insulting people on FR or resorting to Trump wann be namecalling.
Seriously, people might consider your comments on FR if you could manage a little bit of politeness and engage in constructive conversation.
Lastly, do you think any of your posts or comments have added a single new voter for Trump? How many may you have lost him?
So, do you answer politely and constructively or will you just continue with insults and namecalling?
Like Loomer and a lot of the others.
You can’t accept any criticism or disagreement with Trump, however slight. You attack and smear anyone who criticizes him. There’s a word for that.
He’s not going to.
And if Trump had said Reynolds would be a good VP, which she would, you’d all be posting about how brilliant it is.
Over the weekend, he praised Scott and Ramaswamy as possible VPs.
Ramaswamy could be an excellent choice.
True.
At some point he'll have to, because he won't get enough votes to stay in the primary race.
Don’t bet on that. He won’t.
Isn’t he cute, with his little pretend campaign?
I would prefer Donalds; he is like a rock star of politics.
The best ever cliffhanger VP announcement was when McCain introduced Sarah Palin. Some FReepers were watching certain flight paths that day during the convention and predicted Sarah.
It didn’t work out in the end, but that day was fun and exciting.
Time will tell. He obviously didn't have much faith in his own plan to run, or he wouldn't have gotten the Florida State Legislature to change the Resign-to-Run law, so he could slither back home to the Governor's office when he crashes and burns.
Gif....
I saw those hand moves in martial arts class but the master was showing us moves to disarm attackers before bouncing them on the floor.
If you actually read the article, it says that DeSantis answered “Of course,” when asked if Kim Reynolds was in the running to be his VP. That’s it. That’s all he said. Yet Business Insider had to make a whole hit piece out of it. The liberals are afraid of DeSantis.
Trump didn’t provide names for v.p. when asked by Bartiromo.
He said some people were good cabinet members... see #38
Ever notice how much easier it is to simply reply on a thread?
Posting an original thread with an article is a pain. Takes a lot of effort. Especially if you want to plop links and photos in there besides the article.
Thus, seems to me those who keep carpet-bombing with threads have much time and obsess over their topic of choice. That takes a lot of effort, so they must be totally obsessively devoted to their cause.
I don’t see a lot of that on the non-Trump side.
