It isn’t sitting under the recipients’ mattresses - it ended up as a burst of consumer spending that everyone in DC wants to take credit for. The motivation to investigate is very slight.
It was always about:
1. Defeating Trump by illegally altering the states vote COUNTING and BALLOT CUSTODY/TRANSPORTATION.
2. Raid the federal treasury to pay of those performing see above #1. (...and take a cut for yourself for the trouble)
