I would say, things are far worse now. Regan admitted that Simpson- Mazoolli was a mistake. The Invasion is the problem. Mexico is facilitating an act of war against us.

Different time, think Cold War, he is worried that the Mexican Government could fall to Communism.Soviet Allied Countries were on the March EVERYWHERE IN 1980. We were losing the Cold War badly.
