I don’t defend the regime too often, but that was clearly a misread on her part. But I also agree that the Left wants far fewer people on the planet, as they’ve being saying “overpopulation” my entire life.

I don’t think it was a mis-read. I think it was a simple slip. There’s no doubt about in my mind that the left talk behind closed doors often about their need to reduce the world population.
