Is this the high speed california one?

It’s looking like it’s on it’s way to surpass The Big Dig in Boston.

I thought the train project was canceled after they used up all their money. Must be more available for the grab.

Yep, it’s just a graft program, not a transit program.

“California’s long-awaited high speed train will be solar powered, according to the California High-Speed Rail Authority.”

Great. So if clouds come out, it slows down, and if the clouds are thick, it stops and everyone in the train has to cool their heels, maybe for several days. And FORGET about going anywhere at night.

This is just sooooo stupid.

America has forsaken and can’t even operate regular rail, and has established institutional and legal bias against regular rail - unless its 100% owned by government. Another progressive/statist failure

And people are fantasizing about high-speed rail and renewable energy? Ridiculous.

Schedule your trip for early in the day.

Don’t plan on returning in the evening.

Turns out that the affirmative action set asides are now eligible for reparations and they’ll be using that to fill the budget holes.

Just redefine “High Speed”. That’s what American scientists, bureaucrats, and doctors serving the Walmart smelly public do.

They could do it by having a very short train and selling very expensive tickets. Passengers would pay for any luggage by the kilogram. They might have to charge more for obese passengers.
