There was a picture floating around with some of the early stories of a small bag of cocaine but I don’t know if it was the actual bag.
As for “dime sized”... do they even make baggies that small?
In drug lingo there is a “dime bag” but I’m pretty sure that it’s used with marijuana, not cocaine.
You are exactly correct, Mr Stick. As a former recreational user back in the days of Tubbs & Crockett, a dime bag is used to describe an amount of pot that cost $10. No one sells $10 worth of powdered coke, is so small as to be insignificant. One would want at least a gram of coke, which back in the day would be about $50. Like anything else in this wonderful capitalist society, the more you buy, the less per gram. An ounce of anything is 28 grams. Buying one eighth of an ounce would be 3.5 grams. Common parlance for that amount is called an "8 ball", running between 120 to 130 dollars. Note that the term 8 ball is only used for powdered substances such as coke, meth, smack, etc, not pot. A good amount of coke for the weekend for most recreational users and a friend.
4.7 grams is starting to get more towards the amount for one person that is addicted. A fairly large amount for personal use, but still under the limit for distribution charges. It's a good carry amount for an addict who can afford to keep an ounce or so at home. Like Hunter.
