Same happened with women’s lib and black is beautiful. My suspicion is that the ambition to be on top of the stack is universal and hides underneath the desire for equality. I was big into women’s lib as it headed toward equality of opportunity and left when they didn’t want men treated equally in divorce and making decisions about pregnancies.
