Ironically, Alcazar is not a French word but a Spanish one derived from ARABIC al qasir or fortress when the Moors who were Muslim, of course, controlled a big chunk of today’s Spain pre c.1400. So we have ignorant Muslims destroying a treasured library which housed among other priceless manuscripts a thousand year trove of artifacts including those of their own North African Muslim heritage.
For certain stupidity of the highest order with which even the most ardent Muslim scholars would agree.
