Sorry, but he’s earned them. Such a weasel. Imagine endorsing someone, getting him to where he is, only to have him get taken in by the big donor Bush/McConnell/Romney/ swamp money and stab Trump in the back. With friends like him, who needs enemies.
He did that to his voters/backers down here too. Everyone I talk to tell me they like him as a governor and expected him to stay as one and wait til it is 2028 to run.
Sure, Trump helped DeSantis the first time around, but who else was he going to endorse, Gillum? DeSantis fully earned the second and, might I add, resounding victory all on his own. Through it all, DeSantis was a conservative who got elected to the Florida and US Congresses by the people of Florida long before Trump had any political influence other than donating to Democrats.
So far, there’s Trump, two conservatives and the rest are RINOs. If something happens to Trump, that leaves one experienced governor and one businessman for those of us who don’t want wishy-washy Republicans in the White House. I don’t see the point in trashing our side when it’s the other side that’s destroying our country.
