In a purported 2017 message to a Chinese businessman, Hunter Biden allegedly threatened retaliation from his father, who was then a former vice president.
An attorney for Hunter Biden says purported screenshots of a text message from Hunter Biden to a potential Chinese business partner where he refers to Joe Biden — a message that has been the subject of intense scrutiny following statements made by an IRS whistleblower — are “not real and contain myriad of issues.”
Abbe Lowell, who is one of Hunter Biden’s attorneys, made the statement in a letter to Rep. Jason Smith, R-Mo., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, which has interviewed the whistleblowers. The letter was obtained by NBC News.
IRS Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley told the committee under oath that, as an investigator for the IRS, he obtained messages Hunter Biden sent on the WhatsApp platform, including one in 2017 that he read demanding payment from a Chinese businessman named Henry Zhao.

The “screenshots” were made up from the message, they weren’t put out as actual screenshots.

Hunter’s lawyer determined the WhatApp message was not real.
Well I guess that staightened things out, now the scandal and investagation are over and everyone can get back to what they were doing before.
About the only people who believe the message was faked also believe men can bear children.
From what I’m reading, the attorney is expressing that the stylized interpretations of the message are “fake” but doesn’t dispute the text of the message. Am I getting that right?
To the best of my knowledge Shapely never produced an actual screenshot of the message and only testified to the content of the message. From there it was media organizations that added the styling and the styling in no way changes the content of the message.
I would also note that whoever wrote this article never addressed the issue of whether the content of the communication was accurate or not. It doesn’t get much more propaganda than that!

Yeah, I would like to know who made up the screenshots. That was a stupid thing to do—the text alone speaks for itself.

... which leaves an opening for Hunter’s lawyer to claim the screenshot image is fake because it is. The media orgs should have stuck with disseminating the content.

In addition the Biden administration has circulated the meme that this was the words of a man disturbed and mentally unstable due to his addiction to drugs. Thus the question, is Hunter lying about what the administration said in their meme? Is the administration lying? Are both lying?
It is also my supposition that only a small portion of the bribe monies made it to the USA and thus subject to banking scrutiney. What came to the Biden Crime Syndicate inside the USA was just "walking around money" in my opinion. I suspect the vast amount of the bribe monies are overseas.

I went to buy a new truck in 1993. I found and ad from a Portland Oregon ford dealer and took it to my local Ford Dealer and ask if they can meet the same price. The ad was for $6000 less than an similar vehicle.
The salesman I handed it to about choked and took it to the Sales Manager. After a while they came back out and said because it had a typographical error on one of the options they wouldn’t. I told them I didn’t type the damned thing and told them that if they thought I wouldn’t drive 200 miles to that dealer they were F’n stupid but assured them they would have to provide warranty service on it. About the time I got to my car they came running out and stopped me. I got the truck I wanted for $16,300. Best new car deal I ever made.
One of WhatsApp’s main selling points is that it offers End-to-End encryption which means that no one, other than you and who you’re talking to, can read your messages, not even WhatsApp.Another key point of WhatsApp’s service is that it does not store your chat history on its servers. When you send a message, WhatsApp only keeps that message on its servers until the recipient receives the message or for a max of 30 days. Even then, the end-to-end encryption prevents WhatsApp from reading your message.
The only time a message is stored on WhatsApp’s servers is if the recipient cannot receive it (maybe they’re offline or don’t have a WhatsApp account). In cases like those, the message(s) you sent are automatically deleted off of WhatsApp’s server in 30 days’ time.
