In 1776, patriots in the USA declared independence from England.
In July, we honor those who started the ball rolling to give us the freedoms we enjoy today.
We remember those heroes on July 4th.
But with everything else we celebrate in America, is one day enough to honor the men and women who sacrificed their all that we might have our freedom?
Hardly.
Let’s declare the whole month of July to honor those patriots, living and dead, who made sacrifices for us. Let’s make July “Patriot Pride Month!”
We owe it to them.
Here’s what you can do to show your Patriot Pride:
1. Fly the American flag!
Let the colors proudly wave o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
2. Celebrate Patriot Pride month with friends and family.
Get together and share good times, good food, good memories
3. Raise awareness.
Tell your friends and neighbors about it. Be proud of the heritage we all share!
. . snip . . .
8. Never forget!
Our forebearers gave us the freedoms we have today.
Let’s do what we can to preserve and protect those freedoms in the face of anyone who wants to take them away!
Let’s celebrate together.

Please add your ideas to the above list.
Nowadays when you call yourself a patriot, you will end up on some list in the FBI/DOJ/DHS/CIA/NSA.
Truth.
Maybe do some barbecuing, watch some fireworks on the Fourth of July. You know, the traditional stuff.
If my memory serves me well, it was Richard Henry Lee of Virginia who first proposed Independence. If I’m wrong, please correct me.
On Sunday July 2nd, I’ll be singing “God Bless America” in Church.
