That's unfortunate, you should have tried to give them to a local school or even a used book store.
A couple of years ago I purchased a Jan. 26, 1953 copy of Life magazine that had a picture of my dad in it when he was an officer in the MPs stationed in Berlin. I even have a picture of dad and the photographer who was doing an essay on the smuggling of equipment from Germany to Czechoslovakia via the railroad trains. His name was David Douglas Duncan
There were 4 more trash cans of hard cover books that I tried that with.
Nobody wanted to deal with the sorting.
Those went to the trash for burial.
People cannot or will not deal with old Boomer trash.
