Four Cuban internationals may have defected to the United States during the CONCAF Gold Cup, according to reports.
Roberney Caballero, Carlos Denilson Morales, Neisser Sando and Jassael Herrera reportedly failed to show up for the team's flight from Miami to Houston after their 1-0 defeat against Guatemala in Florida on Wednesday.
Since 1999, 55 football players from Cuba have defected to the United States in an effort to either further their careers or to improve their living standards.
Cuban baseball star Ivan Prieto defected to the USA back in March, joining the likes of MLB stars Yordan Alvarez and Luis Robert, who fled the country in an effort to better their professional careers.
It is believed approximately 30 elite athletes across all sports in Cuba have taken advantage of trips abroad to defect in 2023.

Unlike baseball, Cuba isn’t a powerhouse in soccer, so it’s not like these guys are going to make a lot of money, like the baseball players.
Wouldn’t want to offend communist Cuba, you see.
A few more years of the Brandon cabal in office and elite athletes will be fleeing the US for Cuba.
If they really tried to defect and our Deep State knows where they are, they’ll likely be shipped back to Cuba.

I’ll say it again. Use our prison labor to gather and rehabilitate every small(old) Ford Fiesta and Ford Ranger. When Cuba falls ship them all to the country. Give them free gas from the Strategic Reserve assuming it’s full.
New(old) vehicles will prime the pump of their development and lock them into American autos before the other countries leapfrog ahead of us. Everyone seeing the change in transportation will know something good is going on.
People with talent and prestige can defect. The rest of them must either dare the high seas in crappy little “boats” or sell themselves into slavery to a cartel.
