I agree. I don’t view Tarriffs as Taxes, although many people do, and view it as a distinction without a difference.

I would disagree, as Tarriffs can be targeted. The downside is that it can spark a trade war, but good God, we are already in a one-sided trade war with Communist China in which we are playing the part of Battleship Row in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

And have been for years.

Tariffs are indeed taxes. A consumption tax that FAVORS US workers. Who better to pay taxes than the buyers of IMPORTED goods. Importation is wealth transfer out of the USA. It must be subjected to a duty.
