Yes it would have, DeSantis did not want the Trump treatment. If you join them, you have funding and become part of the club. I doubt he really wanted to run. He just won Governor. He was approached by the GOPd (devils) and promised the moon if he ran. Trump had to go.
If you could be approached by those who are against Trump at the top and behind both parties, you would have a realistic view of what you are up against.

I agree, and he shows it. Even though he initially got Ukraine right, saying, in effect, that it wasn’t worth World War 3 just to protect Biden’s buddies - he then flipped 3 days later.
To me that says he’s not even thinking about Ukraine as he OBVIOUSLY does not have a thought out position, literally the top issue affecting this country.
So he’s told he’ll be flooded with money, the media will treat him really nice (he likely has no clue what will happen if he did somehow make it to November, simply because it didn’t interest him in the past), and our corrupted ‘Justice Department’ will take care of his main opposition. (for you stalkers, this is my speculation, I’m not stating it as a fact)
