I would not be surprised if Kennedy runs as a third party candidate. Polls show that he draws more from Trumps base than from the Dem base so it’s a smart move for the Dems to encourage Kennedy to run as a third party candidate.

The problem for Biden is that Trump has a rock solid base level of support and if RFK runs he won't eat into that which might be high enough to win it for Trump.

I think he might eat into Trumps support. The polls show that most of his support comes from disaffected Trump voters and independents. If you look at the issues he supports, they are very similar to Trumps, with the exception of marijuana.
