Nobody can ever provide a link of DeSantis saying he wasn’t going to run for president during his governor campaign. So either you are a liar or can’t find the evidence of your statement. Which is it?
The critics of DeSantis who talk about this, are parsing language, when he was asked if he would serve a complete four year term if reelected. DeSantis was quoted as saying, to paraphrase, that he’s “focused” on his election, not on any other office.
He never said he wasn’t going to run for president. Critics of his have parsed language of his, and apparently to them, that is reason to not support him.
