As a presidential candidate has promised to shut down the border and declare a national emergency if elected president as well as resuming border wall construction and reinstating the "Remain-in-Mexico" policy.
In May he signed a broad anti-illegal immigration bill passed by the state legislature which mandates E-Verify, enhances smuggling penalties and bars local jurisdictions from issuing IDs to those in the country illegally.
All sounds great. What I have not heard yet, beyond long overdue eVerify, is plan to deport illegal aliens already in the US.
US has over 3000 counties, 90 is a drop in the bucket.
Thanks RDS!
I do love this.
Hmm, maybe I should scare up another contribution to send his way.
A couple of things I did not see before I was blocked. “Signing on to push back” is not an endorsement and I would sure like to see a list of the Sheriffs of border counties. I betcha there are no Democrat Sheriffs on that list. Here in Arizona:
Cochise County Sheriff Mark J. Dannels (R) Probably signed on
Yuma County Sheriff Leon N. Wilmot (R) may have signed on
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos (D) probably did not sign on
Santa Cruz County Sheriff David Hathaway (D) probably did not sign on
Proving once again, border security is only a problem with a minority in one political party. To the others it is only a political headache.
Sending 50 illegals to Martha’s Vineyard was a great way for DeSantis to unmask phony white liberal ‘elites’ - and their silly lies about being a ‘sanctuary’ for illegals. The ‘elites’ had the illegals OFF the island within 24 hours.
