Trump’s trial over the classified documents is now scheduled for August of this year, it’s entirely possible he will be a convicted Felon facing jail time by the end of the year, then what ??

It’s not right or fair but it’s a real possibility that very few people are willing to acknowledge.

If Trump gets removed from the equation, someone will get the nomination, will diehard Trump supporters stay loyal to Trump and watch him go down in flames or will they support someone else, some will switch their support, others will simply not vote, which is unfortunate.

First a freeper here told me several months ago Trump would never be indicted. He KNEW it and basically told me I was a fool for even thinking it could happen.

Now I bet he has subtly shifted to he just KNOWS Trumps case will be thrown out, once it does go to trial he will just KNOW Trump will win …and so on and so forth.

The truth is I agree with you. With the DOJ and FBI being obviously biased to the Democratic Party the truth is anything may happen, including Trump being a felon and thus having 3/4 of the nation refuse to vote for him.

The deep state is not going to allow Trump to be president again. Period. We’re watching the plan to take him out unfold right before our eyes. Even if he gets past the classified documents trial, which is unlikely, he still has two grand juries in GA and DC teeing up to indict him.

And yet many FReepers will cut off their nose to spite their face and sit it out if Trump’s not the nominee. Because apparently Biden is better than DeSantis, or some such craziness.

The die-hard Trump supporters on this forum have already made it clear that they will vote for Trump even if he has been convicted multiple times and in multiple states. I am about ready to just give up on the 2024 election. If Trump is nominated despite multiple indictments and possible convictions (a very good possibility), he will lose the independent voters, the soccer moms and a large portion of the Republicans that supported other candidates who are disgusted by the way his supporters have behaved. He will probably get about 60% of the GOP vote and that will be it.

If Trump loses the nomination, he will either run 3rd party or his supporters will stay home or write Trump in. Either way, chances are extremely high that Biden cruises to victory while the Dems take both houses of Congress, thus sealing the destruction of the country.
