I am in the minority here on FR, but I think RFK Jr. has a real chance to take the nomination if the machine does not crush him.
Once you get outside the cable TV box or legacy print media he has a very appealing message for traditional and young democrats.
Another factor that few are considering is how badly this “trans” stuff is hurting Biden with minority voters. This is ignored by the media but it is real.

RFK Jr is an environmental extremist. (Look up his 06/05/23 interview with Jordan Peterson.)
RFK may trend well with young Dems, but I think the patience of the traditional Dems on the subject of global warming has run out; I don't think he can win their votes.
I applaud RFK for pointing out the US provocation of Russia in Ukraine (going back to 2014) and I think he's spot on in his criticism of the vaccine program in the US, but I don't think moderate Dems will vote for him after he comes under criticism on the campaign trail.
