Frankly, Jack Smith, I Don’t Give a Damn COMMENTARY By Frank MieleJune 19, 2023 Frankly, Jack Smith, I Don’t Give a DamnJustice Department Everyone knows I support Donald Trump, and have since the day I saw him ride down the escalator to announce his presidential bid in 2015. What convinced me? I heard Trump willing to confront the hypocrisy of the ruling class when so many other politicians lacked the guts. No matter what else Trump did, as long as he kept speaking his mind and fighting corrupt Washington insiders, he was assured of my support.
Which is a roundabout way of saying that I’m a card-carrying member of what the mainstream media, the Democrat Party, and Joe Biden call “the Trump cult.”
As a cult member, I never believed the concoctions of the Department of Justice and the FBI that Trump was a Putin puppet. I never believed that Trump did anything wrong when he asked the president of Ukraine to investigate reported corruption by Joe Biden and his son Hunter. I never believed that Trump was guilty of anything on Jan. 6, 2021, except protesting an election result that he and millions of others considered fraudulent. I never believed any of those claims or others promoted by the mainstream media, because it has long been obvious that Trump is being persecuted by his political enemies, not prosecuted for legitimate crimes.

I too agree on every point presented!
Special Counsels are not allowed to prosecute national security cases.
“Special Counsel...the full power and independent authority”
<->
“The enforcement of all criminal laws affecting, involving or relating to the national security, and the responsibility for prosecuting criminal offenses, such as conspiracy, perjury and false statements, arising out of offenses related to national security, is assigned to the Assistant Attorney General (AAG) of the National Security Division. Where a matter affects the national security, regardless of the specific statute(s) implicated, prosecutions shall be instituted and conducted under the supervision of the Assistant Attorney General, National Security Division, or higher authority. 28 C.F.R. § 0.72.”
Quotes:
§ 600.6 Powers and authority.
Subject to the limitations in the following paragraphs, the Special Counsel shall exercise, within the scope of his or her jurisdiction, the full power and independent authority to exercise all investigative and prosecutorial functions of any United States Attorney. Except as provided in this part, the Special Counsel shall determine whether and to what extent to inform or consult with the Attorney General or others within the Department about the conduct of his or her duties and responsibilities.
§ 600.7 Conduct and accountability.
(a) A Special Counsel shall comply with the rules, regulations, procedures, practices and policies of the Department of Justice. He or she shall consult with appropriate offices within the Department for guidance with respect to established practices, policies and procedures of the Department, including ethics and security regulations and procedures. Should the Special Counsel conclude that the extraordinary circumstances of any particular decision would render compliance with required review and approval procedures by the designated Departmental component inappropriate, he or she may consult directly with the Attorney General.
(b) The Special Counsel shall not be subject to the day-to-day supervision of any official of the Department.

The enforcement of all criminal laws affecting, involving or relating to the national security, and the responsibility for prosecuting criminal offenses, such as conspiracy, perjury and false statements, arising out of offenses related to national security, is assigned to the Assistant Attorney General (AAG) of the National Security Division. Where a matter affects the national security, regardless of the specific statute(s) implicated, prosecutions shall be instituted and conducted under the supervision of the Assistant Attorney General, National Security Division, or higher authority. 28 C.F.R. § 0.72.

Today’s best read. Common sense is increasingly uncommon. Thanks for posting.

He is especially spot on with this paragraph:
“After all, Trump already knows all kinds of secrets. It’s like a twist on the macabre old joke, I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you. Biden and the FBI and the DOJ already know Trump can’t be trusted with secrets – with their secrets – so they want to kill him like JFK, or next best thing, lock him up for 100 years.”
“Special Counsels are not allowed to prosecute national security cases.”
I hadn’t previously read anything from that point of view. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
i guess label me a cultist...
but if trump caves, i ‘d be out... so far so good.
So they a have a recording of Trump speaking about a document but as far as I can tell they do not have the actual document? And this is the center of the case? I was reading that in recent poll even 30% of Democrats want Trump pardoned if found guilty on these bogus charges. The boy has cried wolf one too many times.
And I NEVER believed ANY of the bogus charges in his two impeachments.
The more the entire Washington DC apparatus opposed him, the stronger my support for him became.
He is only the second POTUS in my lifetime to fight for what is right.

I too would agree with Mr. Miele. While I don’t have the actual numbers, I would guess that the majority of Americans would agree with his position.
