Maybe you should explain how Russians come to these views.

1.The one true church survived the fall of Rome, and relocated to Constantinople and Byzantium.

2.The one true church further relocated to Kievan Rus.

3.Finally, the one true church further relocated to the Duchy of Moscovy, renamed the Russian Empire, and ruled by the Czar (Russian for Caesar). Hence, the one true church is the Russian Orthodox Church.

The Germans had a similar, but different story. The German story is more about government than church and government. The Holy Roman Empire moved to the north. Eventually, the Holy Roman Empire was succeeded by the German Empire, and ruled by the Kaiser (German for Caesar).

As for Ukrainians being prostitutes, Russians have always looked upon Ukrainians as “little Russians,” with a connotation of inferiority.

Finally, as for Putin being elected, yes he was. His main opponents were (1) the communist party candidate, and (2) an ultra-nationalist candidate. Putin and his party, United Russia, was the best of the three main parties, or maybe I should say the least worst.

Only recently have decent center-right (or, “conservative” here in America) and center-left (or, “liberal”) parties entered the Duma. But, still, they’re each pretty small.
