Great Presidents are rare. Reagan was one.. after Reagan it was downhill. When clinton won, he came with their hollywood friends and so much disrespect for the position .

I was not political but I remember Eisenhour.. Truman.. was not that great with the people, but he ended the war with the atomuc bomb. It was horrible... but Truman did not want to fight 2 wars.. and Japan hit first..would not surrender until the 2nd bomb. Yes. They awakened a sleeping giant. My father went ashore at Normandy, and walked across France wet and cold..

The Boys got off the boat and walked to shore with germans up the hill shooting our soldies as they csme ashore. My father made it but they knew they were facing gunfire and might not survive. Many did not.

During that war, it was not as bad for America as it is today.. we were not divided..and churches were used .. protect the troops and our land. Hollywood volunteered for duty.. there were no groups protesting. I had no tv nor radio.. we got the newspaper a dsy late.. if you went to a movie, there was movie tone news.
