Cleta Mitchell, a conservative lawyer from Oklahoma, was on C-SPAN this morning. Among other things she talked about being on the Trump team in Georgia after the 2020 election—how they compiled a huge amount of evidence about voting irregularities which the attorney general refused to do anything about (a lot more than the 11,000 or so vote margin by which Biden carried the state). They could have had a re-vote on Jan. 5 (when they were going to have the run-off election for Senate) but the attorney general refused to get back to them.
I’m sure all that is true, but that was 2020, this is 2024, Georgia has 2 Democratic Senators, how much different would things be in Washington if that were true.
I am totally not interested in what happened in 2020, I want to use that to effect 2024.
I’m not sure of this but has one state ever had a revote on any statewide election in the history of the USA, which is why banking on something that has never happened is a bad strategy.
It’s almost guaranteed that no court is going to overturn a statewide election, besides we did have the run off election in 2020 after the general election, the result was 2 democratic wins.
Like I said in an earlier post in this thread, Trump and MAGA simply don’t have the numbers to win a nationwide election, unless they have a united Republican Party and trashing any significant percentage of Republican voters is not only bad strategy but stupid as well.
