Whoever coined the term “buyback” for this type of transaction is a flaming moron.

“Obviously, it is an individual who commits an act of violence, but a weapon makes that act of violence possible.”
Wow, what a maroon, to quote the great philosopher Bugs Bunny.
Violence is a product of a lack of moral up bringing and self control usually associated with the lack of a biological male parent in the household during childhood (including the teen years).

How can you buy back something you never owned?
How can a piece of metal and plastic commit violence?
Inquiring minds want to know.

35 less guns in the hands of law abiding citizens! They’ve just increased the chance of being robbed or worse at gun point!

Why does no one ever donate ME firearms? I’m a needy person as well.
I agree with the popular meme. No one should “sell back” a gun to a government entity. With their criminal history and propensity towards violence, they wouldn’t pass a background check.

Are folks still still showing up at these things with pickup trucks full of 3D printed guns?

Can someone please explain to me what an “unwanted gun” is?
For the life of me...I have never met one.

I think of my little revolver as a handy tool and I wear it often. Maybe I’ll start thinking about it as a piece if art also.
It’s very handy for preventing rattlesnake violence. It has a certain beauty to it when the snakes are out and about.

“We have people in our community who have lost, lost a loved one due to gun violence,” said Deacon Clarence McDavid with Cure d’Ars Catholic Church. "Obviously, it is an individual who commits an act of violence, but a weapon makes that act of violence possible."Fine, then ban knives, brass knuckles, gasoline, explosives, box cutters, hands, and feet.

It’s people who make the act of violence possible. a gun, shovel, tomahawk or knife does not have free will.

Sooooo, when are these people getting arrested for violations of
HB13-1229?
The word in the law is, "Transfer."
It's obvious that transfers occurred.
If there were no background checks done prior to these transfers, they all need to be jailed.

After the guns are dismantled, they’re turned into garden tools, art, and jewelry.
Or will get misplaced to be stolen by CRIMINALS, so more innocent lives will be lost.
It wasn't opened to the media...
Translation: LeQuintrel bought the gun used in a murder of a rival gang member. I wonder how many guns had the serial number filed off...

I wonder how much they’d pay for a baseball bat, knife, or rock?
My current weapon of choice is a stout homemade walking stick that I have used to repel aggressive dogs. What’s that worth??

Seems to me Buy Backs are a great way for criminals to sell their stolen guns, no questions asked, and then just go out and steal another one.

“Donation” sounds like they were helping needy people who can’t afford a gun.
