Florida Governor Ron DeSantis criticized the indictment of rival Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump saying there had been double standards in issuing charges.
DeSantis also promised to fire FBI chief Christopher Wray as one of his first acts as President if elected - while suggesting that if Trump had been charged with crimes - then Hillary Clinton should have also faced charges.
'With me, you know, you'll have a new FBI Director on day one. We'll clean out all these agencies on day one. We're going to have a major overhaul.

With President Trump, he is protected by the Presidential Records Act which allows him to access top secret records - even after leaving the White House and becoming a former President.
Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, or wife of Bill Clinton, has no such protection and should be indicted and imprisoned. Same goes for former Vice President Biden - no protection.

I know trump enthusiasts want to hear pardon from the candidates before there’s been any convictions. But unless you address the underlying corruption then that pardon is without meaning. So this is a clear distinction between the trump style and the desantis style. My humble opinion is that firing Wray is more important in the scheme of things than pardoning trump. He may not be able to sell it, but Desantis demonstrates that he’s got his priorities straight here.

If he keeps up the passive aggressive digs at Trump, he’ll be back in FL.

DeSantis lied about not running for president. He could be lying about firing Wray. I’m not taking that chance
