Stunted people who never grew up tend to act this way.
Most likely, this attitude is a result of growing up connected to Social Media, where sites such as Facebook will group you with others “People You May Know”, implying, you are being studied, compared and evaluated by unseen, hopefully benelovent entities. True privacy has almost no meaning. These people become used to being treated as ‘a commodity’ vs a paying customer.
Starting in the 70s parents generally abandoned parenting, a byproduct of “the me generation”. That accelerated through today where children are openly viewed with sneering and contempt, an infringement on a couple’s ability to live their own lives the way they want. As a result, most younger kids don’t know how to do even the most basic of life chores, cooking, changing the oil, sewing, etc. The government has now wholeheartedly stepped into this vacuum and become this generation’s parents -especially for women. They want and need the government to order their everyday lives and provide them with lifelong parenting, including security.
The generation that bravely landed at Normandy has now been replaced by a generation needing a personal safe space and is confused by what a man and a woman are. Just go back and look at the societal trajectory. It is a modern tragedy.
They have the attitude that they have nothing to hide so they don’t care. They just don’t get it.
We are a nation of cowards indoctrinated by government school teachers, leftist media, entertainers and activists.
Because they’ve been mind controlled.

This is insanity. The true “Lost Generation”
COVID and “global warming” hysteria have proven that once you successfully play on Americans’ fears, they are the most easily controlled, submissive creatures in existence. Americans will eagerly surrender their freedoms in exchange for even the most vague promises of security.
Younger Americans? I know older Americans who are well aware they’re being listened to through technology but say, “I have nothing to hide”. Infuriating!
Why? Because they think government will help them in their hour of need. They are in for a rude awakening.
Remember that poster showing troops about to exit their landing craft on D-Day. "Leaving their safe space"
They lack the ability to think critically.
Because they are good Marxists.
They weren’t taught the evils of communism in school.
There was a fair bit of anxiety in earlier generations, too. Those of us over a certain age will recall bomb drills in school. That didn't seem to make our parents overprotective, though, nor most of the kids then especially timid, and it sure wouldn't have made us willing to undergo government surveillance. Bad enough when the folks would dig through your bedroom.
Because the public schools turned them into government worshiping communists.
Because ‘1984’ was so cool......
