With the complete abandonment of standards in America to enter law school other than one’s race, your point about self-identifying as a judge has ceased to be a jest.
This can be seen in U.S. Senate hearings held to examine those being considered to become federal judges. Many put forth to be appointed federal judges have proven, under examination in Senate hearings, they do not have the most basic understanding of legal principles, the U.S. Constitution or statutory law.
