As Governor, DeSantis has had the luxury of having a large Republican majority in both Houses of the Florida State Legislature Trump had a very similar situation during his first two years as President, of course, when the tax cut (authored by Paul Ryan, who I don’t support btw) was created and passed. After that he quickly fell apart, with 2020 being the worst year for a President in my lifetime, only Carter’s last year coming close. Meanwhile, DeSantis has only gotten better and better, and yes he’s being targeted by the left more and more every day, too.
