Opposing media fact-checkers doesn’t mean you can never criticize or correct your opponent. The left uses this kind of argument all the time, to wit:
“Conservatives used to be against government spending, but now want to fund border security! Hypocrites!”
“Right-wingers claim to be against killing babies, but support the death sentence! Make up your mind!”
“Republicans once supported the first amendment, now they want to ban porn in schools! What a reversal!”
