I see the board has yet again forgotten that Wilson was re-elected on the slogan “He Kept Us Out Of War”. It was the US public that wanted to go to war, shaming Wilson and showing the courage of Americans. Wilson was a precursor of Biden, allowing ships with US passengers to be blood-sacrificed to tyrants. Had WWI resulted in Germany taking over the continent, we certainly would have been next, because Kaiser Wilhelm’s stated goal was to assemble “a United States of Europe against America”.

And once again Washington’s farewell address is misquoted. Nowhere does the phrase “foreign entanglements” appear in it; he recommends temporary alliances over permanent, specifically.

Jefferson did say during his inaugural speech, “Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none.”

Wow that is completely ass backwards. The US people wanted no part of a European War. Germany had as much change of taking over the USA as we are of finding our way into a new galaxy. Even the fictitious HG Wells account admitted that it is impossible to occupy the United States.
