Chris Christie appealed to Republican bigwigs in a private meeting in which he made his case that he would be the solution to their Trump problem, expressing his willingness to be deployed as a human torpedo to sink the 2024 GOP frontrunner in a 45-minute rant in New Hampshire, according to a new report on the former New Jersey governor who is ready to declare his candidacy.
The Daily Mail dished the scoop on Christie’s clandestine meeting with “Republican kingmakers” that reportedly took place behind closed doors six weeks ago as the buzz began to build that the ABC News pundit and failed 2016 presidential candidate would join the crowded field of White House hopefuls, vowing to the high rollers that he was ready “to get into the ring” with the former president, a man he has fiercely criticized.
"It was all about Trump. He just wants to get into the ring with him and beat him up. He’s not in it to win it,” said one unnamed source who the outlet said was present at the previously unreported event.
"Christie seemed very angry. He was saying I am the guy who can take on Trump, but I was left wondering if he had any other policies,” said another source who was there.

Most people forget that before he ran for POTUS, Trump was a registered NY Democrat. He had to be, of course, in order to do business in New York City.
Christie is not in it to win it BECAUSE he knows he can’t win it. To be impolite, Christie has a fat chance in hell of winning any state primary.
