Another thread suggested that Chris Christie is in the race, just to throw his weight around. He doesn’t expect to get the nomination, but wants to be there to take down Trump.
It may start out that way but just to attack Trump is what the media is rooting for. Christie will also be there to to attack DeSantis every chance he gets. He wants to make himself the alternative and will see attacking DeSantis as the way forward. He can do real damage to DeSantis if he gets into the debate and starts something with Ron which he has already done....
