DeSantis Spends Weekend Saying He Beat Disney as Pride Fest Invades FL Theme Park

DeSantis falsely claims that he beat Disney and turned Florida into a pro-family state.

Last Updated on June 5, 2023

National File reported that Ron DeSantis lied to voters about “defeating Disney” on the campaign trail. It turns out DeSantis’ lies about his supposed victory over Disney are much worse than first thought. NationalFile has unearthed Gayday.org plans from months ago for an event at Disney World in Florida scheduled for this past weekend. Pictures prove the GayDay event took place at Disney in Florida. This, as Ron DeSantis claims he defeated Disney and made Florida a Family friendly state.

GayDay.org’s event page posted about the group’s planned trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida writing, “Encounter the magic of nature with animals, adventurers, and entertainment! Animal Kingdom celebrates all living things as a zoological theme park covering over 580 acres! Check out the Rivers of Light and Pandora: The World of Avatar. Go on a safari, learn more about exotic animals in the wild, meet characters, and ride high-speed thrills! Keep your eyes peeled for the meet-up schedule, but for now, enjoy our GayDays® Fan Page!”

Photos promoting the Disney event showed men dressed in women’s clothing taking pictures across Disney World. Worse, other events GayDay.org scheduled to take place before and after their Disney Trip included two strip shows and a Leather Competition that took place at hotels near Disney World.

This, as Ron DeSantis told voters from Iowa to South Carolina that he beat Disney and turned Florida into a family-friendly state.

Disney tried to tank a bill to stop the sexualization of kids in schools.

So Gov. @RonDeSantis took on Disney.

Receipts from this weekend show that this is not the case.

Imagine believing Florida Governor DeSantis’ claims that he beat Disney and that Florida is a family-friendly state to visit. Your family then starts saving all year to take your kids to Disney in Orlando. However, once you arrive, your family is greeted by leather parties and men in spedos.

Ron DeSantis has some explaining to do to GOP voters.

I’m ok with Trump supporters. It’s the only-Trump fanatics that annoy me.

Thread winner.

DeSantis supporters will vote Trump if he wins the nomination. The Trump-or-Die types have made it clear they won’t reciprocate.

Dopes.

"Trump claimed he built the Wall, yet here they are."

I didn't know the wall was built just to keep homos from coming here.

"Trump is from Florida"

Trump is from New York City, and New York State. Born and raised, but somehow I figured you knew that.

Amen to both of you. I don’t think these creeps know how nauseating they are to normal people. They are unwell.

Well disney has had their own little world for a long time. People die there and it’s barely if ever mentioned in the news. Their own little city is underneath the park. It’s the families that need to quit going and vacationing there. Like budlight, people quit buying it and it hurts them. People complained about the NFL but they still buy the jerseys and over priced tickets. Still watch it on tv. Players making 50 million a year plus cuts of their jersey and product sales. Endorsement money from everywhere. Wonder if NFL drops bud light.

Gay days at disney has been there for a long time. Now they are supporting trans community. Families know when this time of the year is. They don’t like it then don’t take your kids this time of the year. I would NOT want my children there now. There will be fights between gays and trans. That would be entertaining to see. Lol

Remember when Trump took on wokeism? Me neither.
Hey stuck on stupid.
Here's what I remember:
Trump accomplished more for America in one 4yr term than any President in your lifetime.

Don't like "wokeism"? Don't participate.

Waiting for a rum-dumb Governor to fix it for you won't work.

Disney has had gay days for decades now and that has nothing to do with what the state did with Ready Creek. This was about political overreach on the states education bills. As a private company Disney can do what they want and host what they want. The state’s action was/is about the special district privileges.

"DeSantis can only do so much and he already did."

I'm not a DeSantis fan, but you're absolutely right, just like as President, Trump was only allowed to do so much, so the people bitching over both candidates not doing anything need to admit that the power of an elected office only goes so far...whether it's on the State, or Federal level. The power of the Executive Branch while Trump held it was attacked relentlessly during his four years. Democrats were intent on taking away as much power from the President as they could...and they succeeded. The Classified Document investigation against him is a prime example. And of course now, it's no big deal how much power Biden, and his handlers wield.

The bills that DeSantis into law, were not “Don’t say Gay” bills. These were laws designed to stop Public School Teachers from discussing sex, sexuality and gender identity with kids from K-3rd grade. There was also a 2nd law passed to make it illegal to perform sexually explicit drag acts in front of kids.

The fact that you are celebrating Disney’s perversion because you think in some way it damages DeSantis says way more about you and your ilk than it does some failing on DeSantis’ part.

I guess Disney thinks they can get away with this because their buddy Trump will win.

The Disney CEO who donated to Trump has been canned at Disney. He no longer works there.

Trump is critical of Disney. He called it woke, disgusting and a shadow of its former self.

Trump's criticism of DeSantis is about how ineffective DeSantis has been concerning Disney.

And finally, your above statement doesn't make sense because if Trump wins, then the guy you claim is so tough on Disney, would still be governor.

Beyond all that, great post.

Pride Fest has been going on at Disney for years thru several Republican governors and was never a big deal until this year

As far as DeSantis defeating Disney that can be debated but Pride Fest is a non-issue because of how long it’s been going on
