The draining of a swimming pool at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort that led to the flooding of a computer server room last October has reportedly caught the attention of prosecutors working for special counsel Jack Smith.
At least one witness has been asked about the server room flood by prosecutors investigating Trump’s handling of classified material, according to a CNN report on Monday.
The flooded room on the property held video logs for the Palm Beach, Fla., club, according to the report.
The videos may show the movement of boxes of classified documents that Trump, 76, held onto after his presidency.
It’s unclear if prosecutors have established whether the flooding of the server room was intentional or an accident.
A spokesman for Trump did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
The incident occurred about two months after the FBI’s August 2022 raid of Mar-a-Lago during which agents found hundreds of classified documents inside Trump’s private club and residence.
A witness reportedly told prosecutors that the IT equipment in the flooded room was not damaged, according to CNN.
The news outlet also reports that the pool draining incident and other actions by Trump’s employees during the Justice Department’s investigation may factor into a possible obstruction conspiracy case.
The report notes that the maintenance worker responsible for draining the pool also helped Trump aide Walt Nauta move boxes of classified documents around the former president’s estate before the FBI raid.
In May, investigators interviewed two Trump Organization executives – Matthew Calamari Sr. and his son Matthew Calamari Jr. – about the handling of surveillance footage from Mar-a–Lago.
The father-son pair are believed to have been asked questions about the Trump Organization’s handling of footage that reportedly captured Nauta and the maintenance worker moving boxes out of a storage

Hmm, strategically placed leaks.
Wow a pool maintenance guy might have possibly got water in a server room maybe
But not one word or question by the press or LE about the supposed flooding that never happened in the Georgia building where elections were held.
Feds might wanna check on the flooding in the Atlanta ballot stuffing arena in nov 2020 while they’re at it> Nah.
Like with a cloth?
Oddly, trust the Feds? Pass!
My mind just wandered back to this old story from 2020....
Fulton County election results delayed after pipe bursts in ....
Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Nov 3, 2020 — A broken water pipe at the ballot processing site at State Farm arena caused a delay in Fulton County’s ability to process thousands of ...
This “investigation” is as phony as the 2020 election.
Oh please....
Oh please. A pool flood and some boxes were moved, the contents of which were anybody’s guess.
Meanwhile they aren’t prosecuting all the others who had classified documents.
Because a box was moved. Or something.
That the Deep State Satanists are trying to destroy Trump mean that he is the one I must support.
They will also go after DeSantis if he’s the nominee and doesn’t pledge to fight Russia.
You mean “persecutors” stop the steal now.
I’ll take my tongue outta my cheek and pass, too!
“What? Like with a cloth or something?”
This is the BIGGEST BS story I have ever read.
WTH are they talking about. Floods, pools, what a bunch of
third rate CLOWNS.
Let Jack Smith make a fool of himself. He may turn out to be the dumbest, ugliest, nastiest individual I remember seeing in any Government.
“August 2022 raid of Mar-a-Lago during which agents found hundreds of classified documents inside Trump’s….”
They keep throwing around the term “hundreds of classified documents”. Is there any evidence that is a true statement ??? The FBI manifest only listed 11 or so Secret or Top Secret documents as being recovered in August. There were other materials of a lower or no classification level recovered but it does not seem to me that it added up to “hundreds of documents”.
