Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, U.N. ambassador under former President Donald Trump, went after her ex-boss and 2024 rival Ron DeSantis on Sunday over their refusal to say whether they want Ukraine to win its war against Russia.
In recent town hall events, Trump, the favorite for the Republican presidential nomination, said that he wanted the war to end, but that he would help Ukraine and Russia negotiate a settlement.
Florida Governor DeSantis, Trump's nearest rival for the Republican nomination, said recently that he supports a settlement to the war, and that he hopes fighting will end by the time the next president takes the oath of office in January 2025.
"It's in the best interest of our national security for Ukraine to win," she added.

Haley is the queen of Confederate statue removals.
She was a great ambassador to the UN. Did a top notch job. She was tough and no-nonsense. Bibi would make a great ambassador to the UN. He’s so eloquent. But neither of them should be the Executive of a sovereign nation.
“It’s in the best interest of our national security for Ukraine to win,” dolt

Did the dims primary puff barry resident when he was given a re-lection???
Rinos should run lizzard cheney and go all in.
Now THERE’s a stupid, Nicki....
i think it’s not quite that black and white. they were a bargaining chip for the Ukrainians - which is why they demanded Budapest Agreement. there continues to be regret over the agreement - even from Clinton himself.https://nypost.com/2023/04/05/bill-clinton-regrets-having-ukraine-give-up-nuclear-weapons/ so i suspect the Soviets didn’t consider they had 100% control, no matter who owned them. location location location.
Well, now Haley idiot, if the call is made for a negotiated peace, it is not achieved by peremptorily declaring one side the winner, or one side the hoped for winner.
The Ukraine situation appears complex, and I think the more vague positions of Trump and DeSantis make more sense than simplistically pushing for a Ukraine win.
“She was a great ambassador to the UN. Did a top notch job. She was tough and no-nonsense.”
Don’t quite understand the kudos she gets for being the UN ambassador. She was empowered to do and say what she did by Trump. She would not have been allowed by the Biden administration to do or say the same thing for even a day.
It was all over for her when she removed the Confederate flag from the state house lawn.
Plenty of personnel in the Trump Administration were directly ordered to do something, and balked or deliberately disobeyed, and/or lied about it. Someone who actually did what he told them is a good thing, and took some fortitude.
Hey Nik! We don’t give a rat’s @ss about Ukraine.
Exactly. There’s no money in peace.
Says war mongering neocon. Amazing how out of touch the swampy Republicans are.
Agreed, eh? “we” also have an agreement to defend the US against foreign invasion, how’s zat goin? We have no obligation to fight and die for any country outside these United States. Jesus wept, we’re still paying for Viet Nam. You want to fight for Ukraine?, no one is stopping you or Bill Clinton from fighting for Ukraine, just leave me and my grandchildren out of it.
Not when it rewards naked aggression
“It’s in the best interest of our national security for Ukraine to win,” she added.
She is right on that point.
She is bad news on the issues; but she is at least discussing them rather than calling names and attacking trivia.
“Someone who actually did what he told them is a good thing, and took some fortitude.”
In other words, she is great for merely doing what she was hired to do.
